KeithHORNEKeith Horne, of Bacup passed away on January 12 at Royal Blackburn Hospital after a short illness.
Much loved husband of Barbara, dad of Alison and Michael, father-in-law of Phil and adored G. man of Jordan, Isobel, Leah, Nancy and Niamh. Son of the late Harry and Phyllis Horne, brother of Jean and Leonard and brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and great friend to many.
Keith loved the outdoors and spent time alongside family walking, climbing, skiing and cycling.
He was a lifelong Burnley supporter and also enjoyed a game of cricket, playing for Trinity Baptist.
Having grown up in the family motorbike shop he was also a keen biker and mechanic, usually having at least one motorbike in pieces in the garage.
He enjoyed helping friend Pete at his garage on occasions and helping friends and family with bike and car maintenance.
He loved to travel both with family and friends, family holidays camping in the UK and abroad, villas in Portugal and family trips to France took place alongside trips skiing and climbing with ‘the lads’, and various motorcycle rallies with friends.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 31 at 2pm, Trinity Baptist Church, Bacup, then Burnley Crematorium at 3.15pm and afterwards at the Ashcroft, Whitworth.
His family would like to invite all those who knew him to celebrate his life.
The family would like to thank staff on the Primrose Unit at Burnley General and the Palliative Care Team.
