DavidHAWKESWith great sadness, we announce that David passed away peacefully at his home in Healing on 8th February 2025, aged 84, after a long illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandad and cherished friend to many.
A funeral service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Monday, 3rd March 2025 at 11:15am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The British Heart Foundation are welcome. A collection box will be available at the service.

So sorry to see this. My sincere condolences to the family. Mr Hawkes was one of our favourite customers at the bank I worked for and I got to know him a much better when I moved to Healing to live. He was a courteous gentleman who was always happy to chat and share an anecdote.

Mr Hawkes was my hero and enabled me to pass O’ Level Maths when no one else could. He epitomised the reason I wanted to teach and the kind of teacher I hope I have been. I am so very sorry for the loss his family will be suffering.
