I've never had to write a tribute before so bare with me, the guide said it could be as long or as short as I liked so brace your selves.
I've known Ian since the mid 90s he's been a great friend for so many reasons. He liked a few sports Ian but we both love the motorbike racing.
We met thru friends going to the bike races and found we'd been to a few off the same races b4 we knew each other.
We went on many trips and had some great trips to Europe over the years with the bikes, to world superbikes at Assen and moto gp events, Assen Redbull ring and Lemans . A load of British superbike events.
One recent trip to Austria I mis calculated our journey time and we missed our hotel and had to rough it on some garden furniture for a few hrs kip. Ian could have been furious with me for booking a hotel so far away from our start point but he just brushed it off.

He's helped me find a few of my bikes over the years and I've done the same for him once or twice.
I'm going to miss our message chats about who did what in the bike racing world at the weekends.
I've done so many miles with Ian on the bikes from short local spins, afternoon blasts, trips to the races, to big jollies abroad and he's been in front of me or in my mirrors, I'm really gonna miss that.
