Our comradeship goes back to the time when we were RAF Apprentices at Halton, sharing the same dormitory with 15-others, 1962-65. I remember him as one of those kind and liberal minded young men, full of warmth and charm, witty and enthusiastic that made our challenging life as apprentices somewhat interesting. His traits remained unchanged throughout the long friendship that we had. The best evidence for his personality is the way he faced his last few months courageously, regularly updating us with the change of status, while maintaining his sense of humor. Eric we shall miss you, Rest in Peace my friend.
