Ann JaneEVANSIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Jane Evans a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie and friend, who passed away peacefully 3rd January 2025 at the age of 85. Ann was born and raised in Bedlington, where she spent much of her early years surrounded by family and friends. She later moved to Whitley Bay, where she found joy in the beautiful coastal views and the warmth of the community. Ann was a woman who loved to be surrounded by those she cherished, and her home was always a place of comfort and welcome. Loving sister of Sheila, Jean, Joe and Brenda and she was also the proud mother of five children: Sheila, Dave, Adrian, Chris, and Sue, who were the light of her life. Her love for her family and in-laws; Jenny, Graeme, Jackie, Tracy and Jeff was immeasurable, and she always found joy in their company. Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her legacy of love will continue to live on in her 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Ann had a vibrant spirit and was known for her love of socializing. She spent many enjoyable hours playing bingo with friends, and her infectious laughter could often be heard at gatherings. Her ability to connect with others, her kindness, and her warm nature made her a treasured friend to many. Ann will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her cheerful personality, and her passion for the simple pleasures in life. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 22nd January 2025, 1.30pm at Whitley Bay Crematorium where friends and family are invited to celebrate Ann's life and share their fond memories. Following the service, all are welcome to join the family at The Ship, Front Street, Monkseaton for the wake, where we will continue to honour Ann's memory with love, laughter and friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the RNLI Lifeboats. Ann's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who have offered their support during this difficult time. She will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
