I have known Alan since Jill and Dan were married. He was a lovely person, always cheerful and fun to be with.Alan and Shirley belonged to a walking group, and when we were all younger and fitter, my friend, Liz and I often joined them. Alan often chose where we walked to and all the time we walked together Alan would tell stories and tell jokes. Happy days! Fond memories!
