I had the honor of working alongside Chris for around 25 years. In that time, Chris wasn’t just a colleague—he became a true friend and someone who brought both wisdom and joy into the workplace. Through hard times and good, Chris had a way of making everything a little bit easier, a little bit brighter.
One of my fondest memories of Chris was of course in a bar, this particular time was in Israel “the Dublin bar” where England lost to Germany in the European cup and Chris couldn’t wear his England shirt no longer and gave it to a random person outside in anger of England losing the match, it did mean we had to travel home shirtless, which of course he denies. It was moments like these that reminded me how much Chris enjoyed the people around him and how committed he was to the HP Indigo team inside and out of the work environment.
Chris had an unwavering dedication to his work, always pushing through the tough times with a sense of humor and a calmness that was contagious. Even on the hardest days, he found a way to make us laugh, often with a clever comment or a story that would break the tension. He taught me so much—not just about the job, but about perseverance, kindness, and the importance of not taking life too seriously.
More than just a hard worker, Chris was a person you could count on. He was there to offer a hand, lend an ear, or simply share a smile when you needed it most. His ability to balance hard work with humor and warmth is something I’ll always remember.
Chris’s legacy is one of real friendship, dedication, and a spirit that made our workdays not just bearable, but enjoyable. He wasn’t just a colleague; he was part of our Indigo family, and his absence leaves a void that will be hard to fill.
As I look back on the years we spent together, I’m reminded of how lucky I was to have known Chris. He made a lasting impact, and I will miss him deeply. Rest in peace, my friend—you’ve left us with memories that will last a lifetime.
