AlecBURROUGHOn 19th January 2025, Alec of Peradon Farm, Clyst Hydon, passed away, aged 91 years.
Beloved husband of the late Shirley, much loved father of Robert, Jonathan, the late Jeremy and the late Alison, father-in-law of Louise and devoted grandpa to Harry, George and Jack.
Alec farmed all his life at Peradon, where he lived for 75 years and where he used the same tractor for over fifty of those. He worked up until the day before he went into hospital and appeared in Extraordinary Portraits in a special programme about his life on BBC1. He was also hailed as a 'farming hero' in a national magazine for his dedication to farming during the pandemic with a chronic lung disease.
A Service of Celebration for the life of Alec will take place at Taunton Deane Crematorium on Thursday 27th February 2025 at 11.20 am.
