On behalf of my late wife Ettie and myself, I would like to express my sincere condolences to Sarah and family. Ettie first met Rene at training college in Cardiff during the 1960s and they have remained firm friends ever since. Rene was always an interesting and interested person who liked nothing more than a good chat on the phone.

Irene will always be Mrs Bowen to me. A brilliant teacher but more importantly a fantastic and brave person.

Really sorry to hear such sad news.
My heart goes out to all of you.

Love,

Brian
