Robert JamesBLAKELEYPassed away over the Easter weekend at the age of 61, following a long battle with ill health and disability. He will be missed by his sister Sylvia and her partner Paul, his aunt Liz, and by close friend Ingrid Hall, her son Rohan, and all who knew him.
Rob was a familiar face in High Farm and Battle Hill as a postman for Royal Mail from the 1990s to the 2010s. He was also a talented electric guitarist, roadied for a band called Legacy for many years, and loved the Mayfair Rock Night. His passions included horse riding, cats, and fitness.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Tynemouth Crematorium on 9th May 2025 for a Humanist service which will be held at 12.45. Band t-shirts, bike jackets, and goth gear would be a fitting tribute to his love for heavy metal and rock music.
Flowers from family only, with donations to the Woodland Trust.
