Lesley AnnAUGERPassed away peacefully on 7th December 2024 after a brief illness, aged 75.

Lesley was a dedicated primary school teacher and union representative in Salford for many years. Also a proud national president of the NUT in 2003 and a member of the unions national executive. She was a local Labour councillor for Heaton Mersey Ward where she lived all her married life before retiring to Shaw, Oldham.

Beloved wife to the late Leslie and cherished sister, sister-in-law and friend to many. She will be deeply missed. Lesley is to be cremated privately.

The family would like to thank Dr Kershaw's hospice for their care and compassion and would welcome any donations in Lesley's name to be sent directly to Dr Kershaw's, Turf Lane, Oldham OL2 6EU

She wanted her spirit to soar free and it now does.
