MelanieATKINSONIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melanie Atkinson, who passed peacefully at home on Sunday, 27th October, aged 66 years young. A cherished mother, she leaves behind her three sons and two grandsons, along with many wonderful friends. We will all miss her warmth, bubbly personality, and mischievous sense of humour.

We will be remembering Melanie in a special funeral reception on Monday 18th November at 2.30 (for 3pm) at the Bishops Palace, Wells, Somerset. There will be refreshments to follow and a chance to chat and share stories.

To honour Mel's vibrant and fun spirit, we invite you to wear colours that celebrate life, instead of traditional black attire.

Melanie requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Scleroderma and Raynaud's UK (SRUK) or Cancer Research UK (CRUK). This can be done on the day or via Rod Major at wellsfuneralservices.co.uk

If you are arriving by car, the Phelps family are kindly making the car park next to the Bishops Palace available to Melanie's guests (entrance is from Silver Street by the moat). There are limited blue badge options - enquire at the Bishops Palace Gate

I was absolutely shocked to hear about Mel leaving us so soon!! I spent a lot of time with her when our boys were at school. She was sooo funny and loved a ‘social gathering’ she used to make me laugh. I send my love to Dale Lea and Joel
