Les,
I know you are proud of the family you have left behind and we will remember you for all the good you brought to our life, as we have all fallen short in one place or another. It was said today that you were not dealt the best hand, and that’s not something I had entirely thought of until now. Many of us rush to highlight how bad we have had it, and I myself am guilty of spending too much time focusing on the negative. Not one of us can say we would have handled anything better than you did, and I hope you know this.
I do wish that I had known you more, and that know you would have been able to talk to me about anything. Despite that line of communication never being truly realized, however, I want you to know that I will carry forward the good you brought and do all I can to spread love across the whole family, who all miss you dearly. I will never fail to remind those who loved you that you are always with them, as long as they love and cherish you, which will be always.
