AlanPURVIS(North Broomhill) Alan passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 23rd July, aged 77 years. Much loved husband to Pauline, loving father to Kathryn, Nicola, Mark and step-father to Mark, beloved grandad to Carly, Ryan, Alex, Ashton and Kieran, loving brother to Joyce and Raymond, Christine and George. Alan will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Funeral service and cremation at Northumberland Crematorium on Tuesday 15th August at 12.30pm. Family flowers only, donations if desired may be sent to Daft as a Brush c/o J W Peters Funeral Directors 35a Oldgate Morpeth

I believe that Alan and I did our Police Training together at Newby Wiske Hall in North Yorkshire in January to April 1966. He was posted to Wallsend afterwards. Condolences to his family, he was a pleasant quiet young man.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Alan's death, Pauline. Daft as a Brush took Paul & me to the Freeman Hospital several times, so I'm pleased to donate. XX
