FrankGIBSONOn 22nd October 2024, suddenly at home, Sherwood Park, Lockerbie, Frank in his 79th year. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many.

Funeral service in Dryfesdale Church Hall on Wednesday 6th November at 1pm. Thereafter to Dryfesdale Cemetery. All friends respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please.

Such a sad time for family and friends with the loss of this wonderful man. Getting to know Frank through dinghy sailing in the 80's and 90's was a joy. Being the crew could mean you were the butt end of everything but not with Frank. Ok, so we didn’t have a lot of success ( Easter Egg Handicap 1990 and 2nd in a GP14 race at Kippford ), but the fun we had. Then there were all the tours we did with our daughters towing mirror dinghies around Scotland where he was so good at creating a positive atmosphere for these teenagers to be themselves. Such a lovely man - that’s Frank. And if ever you’re not sure of which way the wind is blowing then just light up a pipe! Stuart Bell
