Alice EcclesFISHERAlice of Great Harwood, passed away on October 23, aged 95 years. Alice was retired from being a legal secretary where she travelled the world working for J W Hollow and Co, her hobbies included knitting, sewing, crafts especially card making. She was also an avid reader, loved languages and she won prizes at school for French. She also learnt Spanish when she retired. She loved gardening and flowers and walking her dogs. Beloved wife of the late Bill, dearly loved mum to son Billy, daughter Lesley, daughter-in-law Alison and son-in-law Steven. Cherished Nana of Louise, Rebecca and the late Matthew. Adored Nana Alice of Katie, Ethan, Luke, Georgia and Jessica and respected Nana-in-law of Alistair and Chris. Her service will be conducted by Rev Graham Birch on Tuesday, November 12 at 1:40pm at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please with donations in Alice’s memory to Cardiac Risk in the Young, in Alice’s memory. Funeral director: Great Harwood Funeral Service, 3 Clayton Street, Great Harwood.
