JosephDAVIESPeacefully at home with his family at his side, of Johnstown Wrexham, formerly of Windle, St Helens aged 88 years. Dearly loved Husband of Val Davies. Dearly loved Dad and father in law of Gaynor and Rob, Janet and Win. Treasured and doting Grandad of Carolyn and George. Dear brother of Nancy and Dorothy, and of Robert and Alan (both deceased), and a much loved uncle. Joe will be known to many for his Dahlia Championship, and his days in the Police at St Helens in the 60's and 70's. Funeral service at St Mary's Church, Johnstown on Wednesday 23rd August at 1.30pm, followed by committal at Pentrebychan Crematorium. 'Joe's wishes were that everyone wears something lighter and/or colourful rather than traditional black attire. If you want to share in Joe's appreciation for The Saint's Rugby Club please wear a red tie or something red'. Donations are gratefully received in memory of Joe, towards St Mary's Church and Residents Fund at The Conifers Care Home.
