Dearest Uncle Johnny, it’s so hard to get my head around the fact that you won’t be home the next time I’m in Coventry and pop over for a visit. You were the first one to teach me to pick lavender and enjoy the delicious smell. The first to teach me the delight of walking to the corner shop to buy sweets. You always greeted me with a cheeky smile and a delicious cup of coffee. Always so many giggles and fun tricks up your sleeve. So many happy memories shared in Coventry, Hove, Chiddingfold and Zambia. You were the first grandad to give Yara a cuddle. You will be dearly missed. May you rest in eternal peace and know how loved you are. Sending all my love to the family left behind. May your hearts be comforted by the loving memories you have of dear Uncle Johnny. Grandad, thank you for your love, the memories, and all the lessons you taught me along the way. Thank you for years of always showing up for me from childhood to adulthood- every school play, girl guide event, church event, award ceremony, Irish dancing competition you were front row and center for everything. I am so lucky we have so many memories of all the time we got to share.

So sad to get the news that Johnny has passed. So many wonderful memories from your dating days with Cel, to the very toneless duo you guys sang at your wedding to so many visit over the years. Rest in Peace Johnny, you worked so hard to stay but the good Lord had another plan for you. MYSRIEP.
