Star of Come Dine With Me, Nicholas Blything
On Friday evening, almost as soon as the credits aired on the finale of the week's competition on Come Dine With Me, we noticed tributes being added to the tribute page of
Nicholas Blything, created on funeral-notices.co.uk on 22nd June 2022.
Nicholas Blything was 36 years old when he died on June 15 this year. Upon reading the sad news that Nicholas had passed away, viewers turned to Funeral Notices to pay tribute to the vibrant person they had been watching on their screens all week and felt they knew personally.
One such tribute, added by a viewer on Saint Lucia, reads: "Really enjoyed watching Nick on CDWM! Loved that he was true to himself and never wavered! Totally enjoyed his night! What a charming young man. Sending light to his family from Saint Lucia!"
Another viewer added: "I watched Nick on CDWM this week and really warmed to him. He was funny, sweet and intelligent. I was so sad to see he is no longer with us. My thoughts are with his loved ones. It's always so sad to lose someone so young and before their time. Xx"
On Saturday morning, a beautiful tribute was added by Nick's mum saying:
"To everyone at CDWM show - Thanku for how you portrayed our son.
"What you saw was what you got.
"He was a true to himself.
"Thanku to all whom have left lovely tributes x"
The online tribute page to Nicholas helped raise £80 + Gift Aid for his chosen charities,
Samaritans and
Cheshire Horse Sanctuary. Further donations in memory of Nicholas can be made directly to the charities.
Immediately after the final show of the week aired, more than 20,000 additional users* came to view the notice and pay their respects to Nicholas. His tribute page has now been viewed more than 35,000 times with 173 tributes added in his memory.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Nicholas and to everyone whose life was touched by seeing his likeable character on Come Dine With Me.
